Whether you’re brand new to weaving or an experienced weaver, our small-group workshops are designed to give you hands-on instruction in a supportive environment. Classes are hosted in-person at our Toronto studio and taught by experienced instructors.

Frame Loom Weaving

Frame Loom Weaving

A great way to start if you’re curious and want to try the craft.

PROS
  • Easy to set up and portable.
  • Affordable kits with optional add-ons.
  • Great option for kids ages 10+.
CONS
  • Limited to the size of the frame.
  • Fully manual; no complex patterns.
Rigid Heddle Looms

Rigid Heddle Looms

A step up from frame weaving — allows for much larger projects.

PROS
  • Various sizes, light and portable.
  • Generally affordable.
  • Easy to set up; good for ages 12+.
CONS
  • Width-limited (length can be long).
  • Advanced patterns need extra learning.
  • Slower for large pieces.
Table Looms

Table Looms

More pattern options and complexity than rigid heddles.

PROS
  • Compact footprint.
  • Supports a wide range of patterns.
  • Less intimidating than floor looms.
CONS
  • Width is limited; needs accessories.
  • New looms can be pricey.
Floor Looms

Floor Looms

Most versatile; ideal for advanced patterns and growth.

PROS
  • Complex techniques on 4–8 shaft jack looms.
  • Great long-term investment.
CONS
  • Requires space and commitment.
  • Higher upfront cost and accessories.

Class Levels

Level 1

Our thorough courses teach all the fundamentals so you can weave on your own with confidence. These classes require no previous experience and  range from tapestry weaving to floor loom weaving. Choose a project you are interested in making.

Level 2

Build on your basics with more advanced techniques and longer projects. These classes require some weaving experience, students must have a basic understanding of loom set up and weaving and basic knowledge of drafting.

Level 3

Specialty courses for complex patterns, multi-shaft looms, and creative exploration. These classes are for experienced weavers who can set up a loom on their own and a good understanding of drafting.
