Regular Studio Hours

  • Mon & Thu: By booking only
  • Tue & Wed: 12:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Fri: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Please book studio time in advance so we can manage availability.

Rental Agreement Rules

  • Rental Duration: Any day your project occupies a loom counts as a rental day.
  • Pass Expiry: Use your pass within 4 months of the first booked date.
  • Studio Closures: Rental days don’t apply on closure days.
  • Scheduling: Please book time in advance.
  • Materials: Materials are not included.
  • Experience required: Prior experience dressing a loom and weaving your own project. Rental fees do not include instruction.

Consultation Services (Optional Add-On)

  • Full Assistance: CA$50/hour (billed in 30-min increments)
  • Light Support: CA$35/day (includes up to 30 min of help)
  • Please book instructional support in advance. Students renting looms are not permitted to be in the studio unsupervised. You’ll sign a liability waiver; renters are liable for any equipment damage.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in floor loom and table loom weaving
  • Prior teaching or workshop facilitation experience (formal or informal preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to guide students of varying skill levels with patience and clarity
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a studio environment and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
  • Passion for weaving and fostering creativity in others
  • Ability to follow an established curriculum while adapting to student needs

Nice to have:

  • Experience in other fibre or craft disciplines
  • Interest in contributing to curriculum development over time

This role typically involves 1–3 classes per month plus ongoing weekly commitments to studio hours. Please only apply if you can commit reliably to this part-time teaching and support schedule.
