In this intimate group class of 6, you’ll learn how to weave traditional Krokbragd patterns on a 4-shaft loom. Inspired by Swedish rug weaving, this workshop explores the fundamentals of structure, drafting, and design for creating bold and colourful mug rugs.
What You’ll Learn
Students will be sent a pdf with instructions on how to set up their own loom.
How to read and analyze Krokbragd drafts.
Weaving this traditional pattern structure on a 4-shaft loom.
Designing and weaving two unique mug rugs.
Techniques for colour mixing and visual rhythm.
Class Format
This is a two-day workshop:
Day One: 9am–3pm (5 hrs)
Day Two: 9am–3pm (5 hrs)

Materials
You will need your own 4/8 or 8/8 cotton yarn and 12 dent reed. Wool weft will be provided.

Prerequisite
This is a third-level beginner class. Students should be comfortable reading drafts and setting up a 4-shaft loom on their own.
