In this class you will learn all the steps required to prepare your weaving project. A basic understanding of pattern drafting will also be covered. This workshop will give you the tools and confidence to bring your ideas to life.
What You’ll Learn
- How to plan a weaving project step by step
- Choosing warp and weft yarns
- Determining warp width, length, and ends per inch (EPI)
- Reading weaving drafts
- The importance of sampling: why, how, and labeling your samples
- Developing strong studio habits
Class Format
This is a 3-hour class from 5:30pm–8:30pm.
Materials
All necessary materials are provided. Please bring a notebook if you'd like to take notes.

Prerequisite
This is a second-level beginner weaving class. Experience on multi-shaft looms is recommended.
