This sturdy, thick cotton is ideal for large-scale tapestry weaving, textured rugs, and other projects that benefit from structural integrity and soft density. Despite its strength, it’s surprisingly soft — washing transforms it into a lush, fluffy cloth.
This Premium 16/8 cotton also called mop weight works great in both warp and weft. This yarn washes and blooms beautifully, making it great for a variety of woven projects like lush baby blankets, heavy duty table linens and rugs. It makes a great heavy weft for rep weave projects and placemats. This is also a great warp yarn for larger tapestries that need a more supportive warp base for more textural and thicker wefts.
Also available in 2/8, 4/8 and 8/8. A colour card is available for purchase by special order.
Compatible loom types for warping: tapestry frame looms, rigid heddle looms, floor looms, table looms.
