Overshot Pattern Weaving - Table/Floor Loom
In this intimate group of five class, you will learn the magic of overshot patterns on a floor loom or table loom. We explore a variety of overshot patterns, students will create sample pieces using a range of yarns and colour variations.

This is a two day class:
Day one - 9am-5pm (8hrs)
Day two - 9am-5pm (8hrs)
Let’s make a fun and textural overshot sampler.
Students will sett up their looms from warping to tie up using an overshot draft.
They will learn about the concepts of overshot patterns to explore the basics of how the technique works.
Students will learn how to select yarns and use a variety of fibres to enhance and change their patterns.
Students will leave with a variety of sample pieces from 4-6 patterns.
Students will be provided with 2/8 cotton yarn for the warp and a variety of fun textural fibres and yarns to explore with while weaving.

Prerequisite: This is a beginner friendly class and welcomes all levels of experience. Intermediate students may join the class and weave a more complex pattern of their choice.
You will receive an email reminder with more details about the workshop a week before the class date. If you do not finish your weaving within the class time, you can book extra weaving hours at $30/hr.
