Let’s make a recycled woven Rag Rug
Students will learn the basics of setting up their floor loom from warping to tie up.
They will learn the basics of plain weave as well as finishing techniques for their finished rug.
The rag rug's final size will be approximately 22" W x 32"
Students will be provided with 4/8 cotton yarn in a variety of colours for the warp.
Students will have to bring old clothing or linens to weave their rugs.
Typically for a small rug, a twin-size bed sheet is enough (or about 2 yards of fabric). Cloth can be cut into strips of 1/2"-1". You may look up tutorials on how to cut your materials into continuous strips or we are happy to give you a demo on the first day of class to prep your fabric for the next day.

Prerequisite: This is a beginner friendly class and welcomes all levels of experience.
You will receive an email reminder with more details about the workshop a week before the class date. If you do not finish your weaving within the class time, you can book extra weaving hours at $30/hr.
